The Seventh-Day Adventist School of Nursing, Lagere, Ile Ife, Osun State, has suspended seven students of the school indefinitely for being bold to protest against negative feeding within the school.
The school of nursing is one of the prominent school of Nursing in ILE IFE and it's environ, which pays higher tuition fee as annual tuition fee.
MemoNaija learnt that the school management issued the suspension letter on Wednesday to the student nurses, pronouncing it might no longer tolerate “truancy,” even though the college did not mention the problem of bad feeding which the students had complained about.
A replica of the letter obtained through SaharaReporters was signed by the Principal of the School, Alao Moses, and one Tobiloba, said the Vice Principal, Student Affairs.
The letter changed into copied to the Chairman, Administrative Committee, Vice Principal, Spiritual Life, Vice Principal, Finance, and Vice Principal, Academics.
A source stated the seven affected Nursing students were: six Part three students and one Part 1 scholar.
“The school management failed to cope with the grievances of the students which had been on the terrible feeding. Rather it suspended the nursing students indefinitely for a silent protest. The Student nurses did not turn up at the cafeteria to eat because of the bad feeding,” the source said.
The letter dated February 17, 2021, turned into titled, “Notification of Indefinite Suspension.”
It reads, “Sequel to your action in inciting fellow scholar nurses on a silent protest towards the school management on Tuesday, February sixteen, 2021, you're hereby despatched on an indefinite suspension.
