VACANCY FOR THE POST OF A MEDICAL OFFICER IN A REPUTABLE SURGICAL CENTRE IN LEKKI PHASE 1

JOB TITLE: Medical Officer 

DUTIES:

Clerking out patients, presenting and reviewing with the Consultant in charge 

Reviewing post operative patients 

Performing ward rounds 

Attending Consultant Ward rounds 

Assisting in surgeries 

Taking blood samples 

Taking swab samples 

Giving IV, IM, SC and intralesional injections 

Working patients up for surgery

Retrieving patients results and reviewing with the Consultant Anaesthesiologist before surgery 

Specific wound dressings when necessary 

Some other duties may also come up on the job depending on current circumstances.

WORK SCHEDULE:

Morning shifts - 8am - 5pm

Night shifts - 5pm to 8am the following day

Call duty - 8am to 8am the following day (24hrs)

Weekend calls - 8am on Saturday to 8am on Monday morning (48hrs)

Off duty - between 1 to 3 days at a stretch

Total number of morning duties per month - 7 to 8 per month 

Total number of night duties per month - 7 to 8 per month 

Total number of call duties per month - about 2 days per month and 1 or 2 weekends per month depending on the number of weeks per month

Total number of off days per month - about 9 to12 days per month 

RESUMPTION: immediately

STARTING SALARY: ₦210,000 per month after tax.
